Dating is not always easy. For some women, it comes easily while for others, it is a cause for sleepless nights. A woman should follow some general guidelines regardless of whether she has explored the dating scene before or if she is just starting out. Since time immemorial, men have always been the chasers. Women should never come across as too available or too desperate as this will make the man loose interest. Women should try their best to look good. Good clothes, makeup and hair can go a long way in turning a man’s head and keeping him interested.

Enigmatic women are interesting to men. One should not reveal information they do not have to reveal. Anything regarding past relationships falls into this category. Initial dates should not take long but should keep the man interested. Additionally, one should appreciate a man who shows his sensitive side by bringing a box of flowers or chocolates to the date.

One should be on time for dates although keeping him waiting occasionally may be a good gauge of how much time he is willing to give you. The main aim of the date should be to have fun. Have light conversations and laugh at his jokes. This will make him more confident and bring out the man you are trying to know. Flirt a little, but do not be a tease. It is not right to lead a man on and not follow through.

When dating, one should not focus in on the man and nothing else. This makes him feel trapped and she comes across as being too needy. One should continue having a life. Go out to lunch with the girls, or to the movies. A woman who is not clingy is very attractive to a man. Furthermore, one should be spontaneous as doing the same thing repeatedly can be boring. If last time one went for dinner and a movie, next time one should go bowling, skating, or even to watch a play.

Dating conversations should also be carefully monitored. One should avoid talking about past boyfriends or comparing the date to past dates with other men. Additionally, one should never compare her date with her father or past boyfriends. Criticizing his mother should also be avoided as many men value their mothers greatly. Talking about one’s future plans as far as family goes can also be off-putting.

This may sound a bit old fashioned, but it is undoubtedly true. Letting him pay for the date makes him feel good about himself. A man who expects a lady to foot her own bill may not be as committed to the relationship as she may think. A man should take pride in making sure she is well fed and entertained for the evening. The lady must always be herself and portray her feminine side. A woman who appears all tough and able to handle anything only makes the man feel inadequate leading to his departure. Always remember that being vulnerable is neither weak nor needy.
